Become A Volunteer Or Sponsor

There are different volunteering opportunities available at Classroom Buddies in different capacities:
Tutor: Aspiring tutors will work with a group of high school learners from Grades 10 to 12 in any of their strongest subjects.
Mentor: As a mentor, the volunteer will be assigned a group of Grade 12 learners to help with career guidance, university applications, learnerships, and university funding opportunities.
Supporting staff member: A volunteer will assist the organization with day-to-day operations, duties, and tasks such as auditing, filling out forms, sending emails, and others.
Potential volunteers stand to gain the following:
- Be exposed to job opportunities, funding, educational opportunities
- A recommendation letter and a reference to use on a CV
- Gain valuable skills (soft skills) and experience
- Build a strong network of peers and colleagues
- A chance to gain a certificate of participation
- Develop yourself as an individual
Duration of volunteering:
- 80 hours a year, from February to November
- Have one tutorial session a week
- Mentors to have one mentor session a week
- No qualification needed (be committed and passionate about volunteering)

- Safehub Jabulani, Soweto ( 02229 Isikwama St, Jabulani, Soweto)
- Abraham Kriel Bambanani ( Corner Marais and, Kamp St, Paarlshoop, Johannesburg)
When
Saturdays from 9am – 4pm
